Lucy's Bedtime Routine

Lucy's new thing at bedtime these days is to talk herself to sleep. I mean that literally - no matter what time she goes to bed, she talks and talks and eventually fades off into la la land.

Here is tonight's babbling:

Pat cake, pat cake, pat cake (patty cake), trow it in da pan. (she repeated this about 3 or 4 times)
Mocagycle (she just heard a motorcycle go by). Yea! Mocagycle!

Roll it, roll it, roll it, trow it in da pan! (repeated this about 3 or 4 more times)

Ahhh, ahhh, ahhhh (this followed by some panting is Lucy pretending to be puppy).

Hold you, Daddy. Hold you, Mommy. Hey, Mommy! Hey, Mommy!

1, 2, tree, 4, five, sis, yeven, eight, nine! Yea, Norah! Yea!

She continues for quite a while but we can't understand much more - it is all slurred together.

It sounds like she had a lot to say. Sometimes I like to stand outside their bedroom door and listen to their bedtime conversations. Matt is doing really well with the mittens on his hands at bedtime. We will keep it up for the next 20 days and see if it worked. I don't catch him trying to put it in his mouth during the day nearly as often as I used to. :)
