It is The Little Match Girl by Hans Christian Anderson. It does take place on New Year's Eve, but to me it is still a Christmas story. I hope someday you will let me read it to your children, but I have to practice so I can get through it without crying.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16096098500044529993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1825026573449733117.post-10311295311354837242009-11-19T09:17:28.716-06:002009-11-19T09:17:28.716-06:00I don't think (THINK) we own it, but I read &q...I don't think (THINK) we own it, but I read "God Gave Us Christmas" when I was browsing in a book store and really like that one. In fact, I am looking for a great "true meaning" of Christmas book for my kids. Lily is really starting to like these stories because she is beginning to understand more of the humor behind the mistakes that Amelia makes. It's just a funny little read. We also really like the "Polar Express" more for the illustrations than the story.
Thanks Heather!Sarah Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07325937206061615425noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1825026573449733117.post-30855545925923290492009-11-16T00:21:12.922-06:002009-11-16T00:21:12.922-06:00i found you through a blog hop and i hope i can re...i found you through a blog hop and i hope i can remember how to find the "follower" blogs...but a family favorite in our house is "i believe in santa claus."
http://deseretbook.com/item/3971346/I_Believe_in_Santa_ClausJenny Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04996492430672018740noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1825026573449733117.post-15965653589372214212009-11-15T00:17:57.073-06:002009-11-15T00:17:57.073-06:00I don't know that this is my favorite, but I&...I don't know that this is my favorite, but I've always liked this one from WAY BACK when Matt was little: The Poky Little Puppy's First Christmas. It's a Golden Book, but the one we have (very dog-eared [pardon the pun]) is a large hardback, author Adelaide Holl. It's secular, nothing about the true meaning of Christmas, but is a darling story nevertheless!Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09257588409198841616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1825026573449733117.post-22478716314901743922009-11-14T22:26:44.468-06:002009-11-14T22:26:44.468-06:00I honestly don't have a favorite Christmas pic...I honestly don't have a favorite Christmas picture book.
