Christmas Cards

Just curious to know - what do other people do with old Christmas cards/pictures that you receive from friends and family? I have a stack of last years cards and I have no idea what to do with them! I feel guilty just throwing them away!

I have a photo album/scrapbook of all Christmases. I found pages (from Creative Memories a couple of years ago) that have pockets or sleeves to put photos or papers or other keepsakes in. So within each "year" in our Christmas album I use one of those pages to hold all the cards we received from that year. I really only keep ones that are from close friends and family and have pictures or newsletters that would be fun to look back on sometime, but still they add up. I love those pages for that!

My mom always saved the pictures from people we knew well and just put them in a magnetic photo album. I've been doing the same thing. It's fun to look at everyone's kids and how they change over the years!

Toss em. Clutter is the enemy, don't let their little smiling faces fool you....

A few years ago I kept the pictures and put them in a scrapbook. I thought I would try to do the same this year and start a "Christmas Card" scrapbook. For the cards, if there is not a lot of writing, I've been giving them to the daycare for projects. The ones that are more wintery are used in January. I try to only give the wintery ones. The rest get recyceled.

Should add...the ones from work, the staff divides up and takes to their churches for activities, depending on the theme.
